2000-08-15: N170FT PA28 departing St. John's enroute Bournesmouth U.K.. After proceeding to position runway 29 pilot requested to return to the apron to check the aircraft. After inspection, the pilot advised St. John's tower, that he had knocked over a hazard post (lit) while taxiing, and had caused damage to the wing. Extent of damage unknown. Flight plan cancelled. No injuries. TSB Evaluating. Update. Pilot struck a lighted post that was placed to warn pilots of a pothole in the apron surface..
