Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)

Summary

2000-05-16: N727TS FA10 was on radar vectors for approach at Saint John with clearance to descend 3200 feet. The controller radar observed N727TS descend through 3200 feet and questioned the pilot who responded by asking "Are we cleared for the approach" The controller cleared N727TS to 3200 feet and pulled the aircraft out of the appraoch sequence to ensure separation with the preceeding aircraft. Tape review confirmed N727TS received and read back 3200 feet. No loss of separation occurred. Nil TSB
