Incident at CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT

Summary

2000-04-28: CDR1242 DH8 shortly after take off from Charlottetown reported a Minor Unspecified Problem and request return Charlottetown. No assistance required. Flight landed safely 1740z. Nil TSB Update: CDR1242 departed Charlottetown enroute for Halifax when the pilots reported the #2 engine hydraulic pump caution light illuminated in flight. There was no change in hydraulic quantity or pressure. Aircraft returned to YYG and landed without incident. Maintenace Control issued RMI 04169 under MEL 29-03 and aircraft returned to service. That evening at its RON in Sydney N.S maintenance found the #2 engine hydraulic pressure switch cannon plug dirty. The plug was cleaned and system function tested serviceable. Aircraft returned to service with no further incidents to report.
