Summary

2000-03-23: C-GUZC C172 encountered IFR weather shortly after the 0700Z departure at Halifax for a VFR flight to Moncton. Aircraft declared MAYDAY, and instructor pilot on board chose to climb, and quickly climbed above the weather. Aircraft continued to Moncton and landed at 0800Z. Halifax weather: 0600Z 15SM sky clear 0700Z 12SM broken cloud at 400 feet SP0717Z 2SM mist, overcast 200 feet. Nil TSB
