Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)

Summary

2000-03-23: IFR Flight from Saint John, New Brunswick to Bangor Intl. N45RG departed runway 32 on IFR clearance to BGR. About 1 minute into the flight, the pilot radioed and said he would be joining the downwind for runway 5 for a landing. The pilot heard a noise in flight that he wanted to check out on the ground before proceeding to Bangor. The aircraft landed on runway 5 at 1217 and taxied to the ramp for inspection. Pilot said that an access door to the plane's fuel drain had sprung open. A new clearance was issued and the aircraft departed runway 32 at 1225 without further incident. Nil TSB
