Incident at 60 Miles West St. John's NF

Summary

2000-03-15: CGGGQ BE20 appoximately 60 NM West of St. John's declared an Emergency due to Fuel Leak in right tank. Flight requested Emergency Response Vehicles to stand by. No other traffic affected. Aircraft landed St. John's 1621z without further incident. TSB Case Closed more info to follow. Update From Maintenance and Manufacturing: Leak originated from a fuel level sensing probe installed in the tank (leaking around center wire attachment point). Temporary repair carried out using PRC for flight to maintenance base for probe replacement. An SDR will be submitted. Update : TSB file # A00A0041
