Incident at 20 East Halifax

Summary

2000-03-08: ARN820 DH8 departing Halifax when the flight was aprx 20 miles East of airport pilol requested return Halifax due unspecified Hydraulic Problem. No assistance requested. Aircraft landed 2319z. Nil TSB. Update: Outbound, aircraft lost #2 hydraulic system. When maintenance investigated, they found the o-ring disintegrated on the main EDP pressure transducer. It was replaced, clearing the problem. No other issues identified, no further hydraulic problems.
