Incident at Charlottetown PEI

Summary

2000-03-24: The FS Specialist noticed a CGLDV C172 on runway 21. No contact with aircraft on the Mandatory Frequency(122.1). The Specialist had one of the maintenance crew ask the pilot what frequency he was on. The pilot advised that he had broadcast on 126.7 and on 122.1. Nothing was heard by the FSS. Subsequent radio check was loud and clear on 122.1. No other traffic in the Charlottetown control zone at the time. No radio problems occurred during the departure phase of the flight Nil TSB Update> Licenced Private Pilot, no further follow up action
