Incident at Saint John


2000-02-16: ACA2652 DC9 enroute Fredericton to Saint John landed in Saint John without prior contact with FSS. Occurrence took place during a snow storm and specialist took action to have snow removal equipement of the runway based on the ATC estimate and coordination. TSB Case Closed Amend to reflect MAP as "Action Req by" Update: When the crew were queried as to why they did not contact Saint John FSS they replied that they had transmitted on the FSS Frequency but had received no reply. They also indicated to FSS that they thought there was a possiblity when they changed radio frequency over from Moncton ATC to Saint John FSS the switch must have stuck. TSB file # A00A0023
