Incident at Harbour Deep NF


2000-03-08: CGGBX C185 on a wheel/ski configuration was departing Harbour Deep for Jackson Arm. During the takeoff a ski support wire broke which caused the ski to twist around. Aircraft continued with the departure and diverted to Davis Pond. Aircraft landed safely on the damaged Wheel/ski gear. Nil TSB Update by Maintenance and Manufacturing The aircraft struck a higher than normal snow drift while on take off. Contact with the snow drift resulted in damage to the Right Hand ski assembly. Damage consisted of a broken Back Limit Cable, P/N: 11D1556-1 and a twisted Arm P/N: 10D3578-2. A SDR will not be submitted. No further action to be taken.
