Incident at Halifax

Summary

2000-01-12: C-GRTO PA-31 enroute Halifax to Sydney reported indication problem shortly after departed on runway 06 (Halifax).Flight crew requested to return and landed safely on runway 24 without assistance. NIL TSB Update: Maintenance inspected the Fuel Injection system and found that the deck pressure sense line had backed off. This caused too much air in the fuel/air distribution system which caused a higher than normal cylinder head temperature. The line was tightened and torgued to proper value. Run up and test flight were carried out with no further problems. Unable to determine why the "B" nut had backed off. A 100 hour inspection was performed 10 hours prior to this event.
