2000-03-23: The crew of AAL867 advised Calgary Tower that they had struck a bird while a on 2 mile final for Runway 34. The aircraft landed without further incident and the bird was not found. There was no damage to the aircraft. OPI - Aerodrome Safety UPDATE This airport has an active and ongoing bird and wildlife control program. No special measures were in effect at the time of this incident. The incident was recorded for statistical purposes and possible modification to the wildlife control program, if warranted.
