Incident at Inuvik, NT

Summary

1999-10-05: AKK 111, an Embraer 110, departed Inuvik and 7 minutes after takeoff, the crew reported that the landing gear would not retract. They requested FSS staff do a visual check of the gear in a fly past and it appeared that the gear was fully down. The crew returned to land uneventfully at 0311Z. The nature of the gear problem is not known. OPI - System Safety
