Incident at The Pas, MB

Summary

1999-10-04: Totem 90, a C-130 Hercules, was enroute from Elmendorf AFB to Grand Forks AFB and near The Pas when the crew reported that they had shut down the number 1 engine due to a fluid leak. They declared an emergency, but advised they would continue to Grand Forks. About 5 minutes later, they reported that they had shut down a second engine and were diverting to The Pas. Winnipeg FSS was advised and the crew was provided with weather and approach information. The a/c landed safely at 2124Z with the local fire department on standby. OPI - System Safety
