Incident at Saskatoon, SK

1999-09-27: C-FVJU, a Beech 1900 with 13 people on board, operated by Athabaska Airways was on approach to Saskatoon and when the crew selected gear down, the gear failed to extend and the circuit breaker popped. They were able to extend the gear manually and landed safely on Runway 15 with CFR on standby. The crew stopped on the runway and shut down, so the First Officer could pin the gear. The passengers were off-loaded and transported to the Terminal by bus. The a/c was towed to the ramp and company maintenance found a chaffed wire beside the PC board mounting plate, under the floor at zone 143. The company will file an SDR with Transport Canada.
