2000-03-23: The crew of CDR 1396, a DHC-8, reported striking a hawk on final approach to Runway 20 at Edmonton International Airport. No bird remains were found and there was no reported damage to the a/c. OPI - Aerodrome Safety UPDATE This airport has an active and ongoing bird and wildlife control program. No special measures were in effect at the time of this incident. The incident was recorded for statistical purposes and possible modification to the wildlife control program, if warranted.
