Incident at Regina, SK

1999-09-21: The pilot of CF-HAC, a PA-24-250 Comanche, departed Regina at 1715Z from Runway 13 on a VFR flight to Estevan. He reported smoke in the cockpit when the flight was 3 miles southeast of the airport. The aircraft returned and landed safely on Runway 13 at 1719Z. Firefighters determined that a broken manifold had caused wires and some plastic to melt and produce smoke. The aircraft was towed to apron three. OPI - System Safety
