Incident at Thompson, MB

Summary

1999-09-13: The crew of CAV 2597, a Saab 340, enroute to Churchill from Winnipeg with 33 people on board, advised ATC of a hydraulic problem and requested diversion to Thompson. They did not declare an emergency but requested a full CFR presence during landing. The city fire department and the airport emergency vehicle were on standby as the a/c landed uneventfully at 2331Z. This is the second hydraulic incident with this a/c in the last four days (CADORS 1999C0777). TSB has been advised and the company is still troubleshooting the problem. OPI - System Safety
