Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-09-16: C-GTXW, a Curtiss C-46, was on a local VFR flight at Winnipeg and when the a/c was 6 miles south of the airport, the crew reported a hydraulic problem. They elected to return to the airport and landed safely at 1829Z. OPI - System Safety UPDATE TSB reported that maintenance discovered a leaking O-ring at the uplock for the tailwheel assembly. The ring was changed and the a/c returned to service.
