Incident at Iqaluit, NU

Summary

1999-11-16: After FAB 1T, a Beech King Air, landed on Runway 36 at Iqaluit, FSS gave authorisation to the driver of Lion 39A, a truck, to cross the runway at his discretion. When the driver began the cross the runway, the crew of FAB 1T elected to take off again. OPI - ANS and Airspace UPDATE ANS reported that NAV CANADA will not be doing a Fact-Finding Board. The FSS operator was debriefed.
