Incident at Churchill, MB

Summary

1999-08-26: N9NX, a Cessna Caravan, departed Red Lake (CYRL) at 1904Z on a VFR flight plan to Churchill (CYYQ). Estimated time of arrival was 0004Z and Churchill FSS initiated comsearch procedures at 0101Z. The aircraft was eventually located at Kennedy Lake (approximately 5235N 9335W) at 0653Z. Assisting units and RCC Trenton were advised. Apparently, a clerical error was the cause of the problem - the pilot intended to write "50" hours enroute, since he planned to make a couple of camping stops along the way, but inadvertently put "5" hours in the flight plan.
