Incident at Lloydminster, AB

Summary

1999-08-25: ABK 929, a BAe Jetstream 31, was inbound to Lloydminster on an IFR flight from Calgary and established on a 3 mile final for Runway 07. A student pilot in C-GEBU, a Cessna 172, was inbound from Meadow Lake and reported 4 miles northeast of the airport. C-GEBU was then observed south of the centreline of Runway 07 heading northwest. The crew of ABK 929 then executed a missed approach due to the traffic and landed safely about 20 minutes later. OPI - System Safety
