Incident at Winnipegosis, MB

Summary

1999-08-24: The pilot of C-FMTV, a Glasair IIs with one passenger, was on a local pleasure flight near Winnipegosis when he observed a low oil pressure reading. He decided to make a precautionary landing on a road and did so successfully. He troubleshot the problem as a sticking oil pressure gauge. The pilot was able to take off with the assistance of the local RCMP, who re-routed traffic. OPI - System Safety
