Incident at 90 NM SE of Churchill, MB


1999-08-19: BA286 a Boeing 747 was proceeding south east bound in the vicinity of Churchill at FL330 when the crew advised ATC they had an onboard emergency and would be diverting to Winnipeg. The patient was a 7 1/2 year old boy who had fallen prior to boarding. The lad suffered a concusion as a result which was not discovered until he became unconcious during the flight. The pilot made his own arrangements for services at Winnipeg. The aircraft landed on Runway 13 at 07:07Z without incident. The aircraft was enroute to San Francisco from Heathrow at the time.
