Incident at Saskatoon, SK

Summary

1999-08-06: The pilot of C-GINO, a Cessna 172, was in the downwind leg for Runway 33 at Saskatoon and Tower instructed him to make a 360 degree turn for spacing. CDR 1436, an F28, was on final for Runway 33. The pilot of C-GINO turned in front of CDR 1436, whose crew reported a TCAS alert and initiated an overshoot. CDR 1436 landed safely on Runway 33 about 7 minutes later. OPI - System Safety UPDATE TSB reported that the pilot of C-GINO was a student on his second solo flight.
