Accident at Moose Lake, AB

Summary

1999-08-04: The pilot of C-GJGO, a Cessna 185 on floats, took off from Moose Lake with 3 passengers for a local flight. Shortly after takeoff, engine power reduced and oil sprayed on the windshield. The pilot returned to land, looking out the side window for visual reference. The a/c landed hard and fractured the right float struts and damaged the right gear box. There were no injuries.
