Incident at 30 Mile River, NT

Summary

1999-08-03: The pilot of C-GBIY, a Cessna 206, was departing from 30 Mile River for a fishing lodge and during the takeoff run, determined that he had insufficient space to take off successfully. He aborted the takeoff, but the right float struck the shoreline, causing broken float struts and some damage to the float. No one was injured. OPI - System Safety
