1999-07-29: A99W0135: AN AIR BC DE HAVILLAND DHC-8-300 AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING FROM THE TERMINAL FOR TAKE OFF, WHEN SMOKE WAS DETECTED IN THE CABIN AND FLIGHT DECK AREAS. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE GATE AND THE PASSENGERS DEPLANED NORMALLY. MAINTENANCE IDENTIFIED THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE AS A MALFUNCTION IN THE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING PACK. OPI - System Safety
