Incident at Lloydminster, AB


1999-08-25: Aircraft had departed for Edmonton and after 5 minutes the pilot reported (on his cell phone) that he had lost all electronics. The pilot did a fly by to see if gear was down which FSS confirmed, although unable to determine if locked. APM was advised and standing by. Aircraft landed safely with no further incident. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that the battery terminal was loose and the battery posts were corroded. The company believes that this was the cause of the electrical failure and no other problems were found.
