Incident at Tulita, NT

Summary

2000-03-13: The CARS operator at Tulita airstrip received a call from the town by-law officer concerning C-GSHL, a Bell 206, which was using a site in the town for landing and takeoff, without having obtained permission from the local authorities. The site is frequented by the public and it was being used by the pilot to deliver and pick up some people involved in survey activities. Although no one was injured, a concern was raised because of the potential to compromise safety. OPI - Commercial and Business Aviation UPDATE CBA reported that the file was transferred to Enforcement for follow-up.
