Incident at Rankin Inlet, NT


1999-07-16: C-FZPW, a Beech King Air, departed Rankin Inlet for Winnipeg and shortly after takeoff, the crew reported that they were returning due to "mechanical difficulties." ERS was placed on stanby and the flight landed safely at 2100Z. It turned out that the mechanical difficulty was an improperly closed cargo door. OPI - System Safety
