Incident at PRINCE ALBERT (GLASS FIELD) SK (CYPA) (Incursion - runway - pedestrian)

Summary

2000-02-18: C-GPFK, a Piper Seneca, was conducting parachute drops at the Prince Albert Airport and one of the parachutists landed just north of the airport. The jumper then climbed the airport fence and walked across Runway 26 while C-GPFK was on final for the runway. The pilot was advised and landed without incident. OPI - General Aviation UPDATE General Aviation reported that the parachute club was aware of the incident and they now make it a policy to advise all jumpers, that if they land north of Runway 08/26, they cannot cross the runway to return to the jump zone without permission from the FSS. They are also requested to not climb the airport fence to return to the airport property.
