Accident at 12 NM NE of Lloydminster, SK


1999-07-06: Exact time of accident is unknown. Report received at 1820Z from Lloydminster FSS. The aircraft was on a training flight to the NE practice area and apparently hit a power line. There was substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot was taken to the hospital at 1840Z with several fractures. RCMP was on the scene and TSB was to interview the pilot. OPI - System Safety UPDATE TSB reported that the pilot was practicing forced landings when he struck a power line. The a/c then impacted the ground inverted. There is substantial damage to the a/c and the pilot was seriously injured.
