Summary

1999-07-06: The pilot of C-GEAT, a Bell 205, took evasive action to avoid a collision with a Bell 206, C-GQKU. The pilot of the 205 reported that the Helicopters passed very, very close to each other. The Bell 205 carried one pilot and 8 passengers. OPI - System Safety UPDATE TSB reported that the pilot of C-GQKU, a Bell 206B with 2 people on board, was in cruise flight at 3,500 feet ASL in the vicinity of the House Creek Camp when he observed another helicopter at his four o'clock position. He pulled up and C-GEAT, a Bell 205A with 9 people on board, passed underneath. The radio frequency was reported to have been congested at the time.
