Incident at Arviat, NT


1999-07-02: North Bay IFSS reported the following to Edmonton ACC: At 00:50 Z, AOM901 requested FL350 on HF8891. The request was forwarded and a clearance was received from Edmonton ACC including a restriction to cross 90W level at FL350 and contact Winnipeg ACC at that point. The clearance was issued to the pilot and read back correctly. At 01:14 Z, AOM901 reported 90W at FL310, unable to contact Winnipeg ACC. After confirming that AOM901 could cross Arviat, NT at FL350, a new clearance was issued and read back correctly. No other aircraft was involved. OPI - Enforcement
