Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-06-29: FDX 1336, a B727, landed on Runway 36 at Winnipeg and smoke was observed in the wheel area. ERS responded and visually inspected the brakes and tires after the aircraft had come to a stop off the runway. Hot wheels were not detected and FDX1336 then taxied to the apron at 0224Z without further incident. CMM 392, an A320 departing to Toronto was delayed 5 minutes pending runway surface inspection.
