Incident at Saskatoon, SK

Summary

1999-09-13: The pilot of C-GBGV, a Cessna 172, was operating southwest of the Saskatoon Airport doing photo work, when he advised that he was returning due to alternator problems. The a/c landed safely on Runway 26 at 1634Z and no other a/c were inconvenienced. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that the operator informed that the field wire was found broken off at the alternator field terminal. Wire has been repaired, alternator is alternating, and an SDR is being submitted.
