Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1999-06-22: ACA 270, an A319, was landing on Runway 28 at Calgary when the crew reported a bird strike. Airport staff found a deceased bird of unknown species on the runway. There was no reported damage to the a/c. OPI - Aerodrome Safety UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Airport Bird and Wildlife Specialist was aware of this strike. They have an on-going Wildlife Control Program and the scare equipment was fully functional at the time of the strike. The bird was identified as a Franklin's Gull.
