Accident at 20 NM N of The Pas, MB


1999-06-09: The pilot of C-FJBI, an Air Tractor, was conducting budworm spraying about 20 miles north of The Pas when the engine lost power. The pilot force-landed in a muskeg and the a/c's gear sank up to the fuselage. One wing was damaged in the occurrence but the pilot was not injured. The a/c had been flying for about 2 hours and 18 minutes and the operator indicated that there was 3 hours of fuel on board. The reason for the power loss is not known at this time.
