Incident at Winnipeg, MB


1999-06-08: C-GQQC, a Beech Travelair, was on a local VFR training flight with 2 people on board and while on approach to Runway 13, the pilot reported an unsafe gear indication. He carried out a low approach over the runway and it appeared that the gear was down. ERS resonded and was on standby as the a/c landed without further problem. The nature of the gear problem is not known. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that the problem was in the gear motor, which appears to have a dead spot in it. The motor was replaced and a/c returned to service. The operator is submitting an SDR to Transport Canada.
