Incident at Vicinity of Edmonton City Centre Airport

Summary

1999-05-07: The pilot of a Cessna 172 on a local VFR flight out of City Centre Airport at 4,000 feet, reported flying 500 feet under a powered parachute about 1 mile west of the Beverly Bridge inside Class C airspace. The pilot of the parachute was not in communication with any ATC facility and was visible from City Centre Tower until about 0145Z. City Police were contacted and met the pilot when he landed on Range Road 225 east of the city. OPI - Enforcement
