Incident at La Ronge, SK


1999-05-05: The crew of Tanker 216, a Canadair CL-215, reported inbound to La Ronge with the left engine shut down. It had been running rough, so the crew secured it and returned to base, where they landed uneventfully. ERS was not required. Maintenance discovered that the number 14 cylinder ignition leads and spark plugs were unserviceable. The components were replaced and the a/c released to service. OPI - System Safety
