Incident at Peace River, AB

1999-05-03: The pilot of a C-GAEN, a PA-31-350 Navajo rejected his takeoff at Peace River due to a lack of power on the right engine. Company maintenance determined that the reference line was leaking, which effected the manifold pressure. The line was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service, there were no other aircraft inconvenienced. OPI - Maintenance & Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. confirmed that there was a leak in the reference line between the intake manifold and the differential pressure controller. The line was repaired and a power run-up was carried out. Maximum power was achieved and the a/c was released to service. An SDR will be submitted to Transport Canada.
