Incident at Winnipeg, MB


1999-04-19: ACA 193, an A320, was at 2,500 feet ASL on an 8 mile approach to Runway 36 at Winnipeg when the a/c struck a bird on the left outer wing slat. There was no damage to the a/c and the bird was thought to be a small goose or duck. OPI - Aerodrome Safety UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the distance from the airport where the bird strike occurred is outside the area of the airport's wildlife control program.
