Incident at PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE / SOUTHPORT MB (CYPG)

Summary

2000-03-28: The crew of Mustang 94, a Beech King Air, declared an emergency while doing circuits at Southport. They reported that the gear did not indicate being up and locked when gear up was selected and they were concerned that it was not down and locked either. ERS was requested to be on standby as Mustang 94 landed without incident at 1409Z. Maintenance examination revealed that the problem was related to a faulty squat switch installation. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that the operator confirmed that a faulty squat switch was the cause of the problem.
