Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-03-23: BAL 741A, a B767, was enroute from Gatwick to Calgary and was 50 miles north of Lynn Lake when the crew requested to divert to Winnipeg for fuel. The crew indicated this was not an emergency and there were no problems with the a/c. They requested Winnipeg ACC advise their company in England and have them make a flight plan for Winnipeg to Calgary. The crew also advised that they would need to speak to company engineering services concerning a fuel disagreement. The flight landed safely on Runway 18 in Winnipeg at 1741Z. OPI
