Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1999-03-18: C-FBWX, a B727, was departing Calgary on a cargo flight to Edmonton when the crew observed the number 2 engine filter bypass light illuminated. The takeoff was rejected at 70 knots and while taxiing in, the crew shut down the number 2 engine. Maintenance found the number 2 engine gear box oil filter housing cracked, which allowed the complete loss of the engine oil. OPI - System Safety
