Incident at 1.5 M W of Fox Creek, AB

Summary

1999-03-17: Continuing on his excellent adventure in Canada, the pilot of N3695P, a Piper Cub ( the same one from CADORS 99C0188), was flying from Wetaskiwin to Fort Nelson when he encountered bad weather near Fox Creek. The pilot decided that he could not continue VFR flight and landed on a rural side road. The local RCMP attended the scene and determined that there were no injuries or damage. The current status of the a/c is not known. OPI - System Safety UPDATE It was reported that the Whitecourt RCMP assisted the pilot in taking off from the road and the a/c was flown to the Fox Creek Airport where the pilot was waiting for better weather.
