Incident at Coral Harbour, NT

Summary

1999-03-03: On landing at Coral Harbour after a VFR flight from Rankin Inlet, the a/c veered to the left due to what the pilot described as a frozen brake. The pilot was reported to have been able to keep the a/c on the runway surface and there was no damage. OPI - System Safety UPDATE TSB reported that the a/c experienced a frozen left brake. The company indicated that the a/c has had several frozen brake incidents and they are dealing with the manufacturer to improve the reliability of the system in northern operations.
