Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-02-15: CFC 2607, a CC-130 Hercules, was enroute from CFB Trenton to California and was about 560 miles south of Winnipeg (YWG) when the crew advised Minneapolis ACC that they had shut down one engine. They declared an emergency and diverted to Winnipeg. When the a/c was 10 miles from YWG, the crew was able to re-start the afflicted engine and landed without incident on Runway 18 with CFR on standby. OPI - System Safety
